Mountain passes and winter driving
BC requires winter tires or chains on designated highways, including the Coquihalla and the Sea-to-Sky, from October 1 until March 31 or April 30 depending on the route (BC government). Conditions on mountain passes can change fast, so winter moves need a little flexibility. DriveBC has current road conditions.
